hari-hari gumbira & seronot

28th Feb – 1st Mar was my weekend away from KL. It was actually a hikerz gathering which my officemate was the one who responsible in bringing me in...huhu. i was nearly cancelled the plan of joining them, but rethinking of it, why not? Getting away from KL’s hecticness, relaxing myself from the work stresses, expanding my networking and few other reasons which made me feels “aahhhh! Pegi je la......"
Soon as we (k.yati, k.yaya & i were car-pooled) reached Zaini Guest House (ZGH) @ Janda Baik, i was amazed with the breathtaking panorama. The place is soooo nice. There was a cool flowing river in ZGH’s district. So u won’t see publics swimming/lepaking/picnicking along the river which makes it among the cleanest river I’ve ever seen...hehe.

Another thing that makes us ternganga @ terpelik @ termimpi-mimpi @ terngiang-ngiang di mata was a freaking BIG macho rooster full of pride with its forwarded chest, walking steadily in front us (that we were nearly said “ampun tuanku” tau tak!) and coo-coo-ing as if he wants to tell us that this is his place and no one could ever buat kacau kat sini! I know this sounds ridicuous & bangang giler but seriously our eyes were entirely glued on the rooster’s machoness. Peerrggh! Ayam paling hensem penah aku jumpe!

Soon as everybody were there, the games started. It was FUN! Full with laughter, team work (even though some of us just met each other), giler-giler, lawak bodo, cute funny faces and the most important thing is everybody’s participation. Kids were having so much fun along with the adults. (from left): shaz, kamal & abg zaini (towkey lor..)

At nite we had bbqs! Kambing dia sedap yang amat ok! Among the delicacies were ikan bakar (which were just caught after the game...memang la fresh giler kan..yummy!), chicken wings, meats, tapioca, mee hoon, bubur jagung, fruits & ape ntah lagi. Sesungguhnya sangap habeh lepas muntah kedarah tu...adei!

kok rakus sekali! makanan trus nggak dapat dilihat lagi nih...

Besides the makan-makan, Abg Zaini & the band entertained us by performing live! Mase mule-mule dia ajak join on the stage, everybody was malu-malu poyo. Menyampah kan........ but one by one showed their singing skills. By 1am, many of us got tired & went back to their house/hut/tent/open-air-dorm. Except for those yang kemarok mic @ lepas gian @ mic-addict, plus with the never-stopped-cheering-fans (termasuk aku la sbb takot nak masuk tent sorang-sorang, so no choice join je la...hehe) still got ourselves hang in there. Band yang jamming pun tak hengat dunia playing their musics, until K.suria (abg Zaini’s wife) asked them to end it...haha!

But before he put a full stop that nite, they played a famous song by Santana (Mexican version). Mase ni everbody were enthusiastic teramat. Haram tak paham & of course tak hapal pon, tapi excited dia lebey dari yang main music. Hoho! Sibuk ngekot tang chorus dia...tu pon “ya dei ya dei”. adei! Sedar je poyo tapi biar lar....! Soon we finished that song, sape ntah sound “woo! Kater nak stop, ni suda bikin panas ni!”. So we actually requested for a final one... tau lagu aper diaorang bagi?? GEYLANG SI PAKU GELANG! Ado!

(tak leh nak upload video la..asyik fail jer..huh)

After the music wrap, we headed back to our sleeping places. Tibe-tibe we all TERborak plak.. pastu ade yang TERbuat air milo plak. Hhmmpph..makin panjang la topicnyer. Tergelak, terguling, terlalak, semua ade. Up to da extend dat a history-maniac duk bercerita pasal hikayat hindu Ramayana. Damn! You are sooo ramayanian la abg combat! Dont be mad with me pleashh... Kuasa Sakti Kepala Sinta!!!!

Next morning, after breakfast, juga dengan TAK SENGAJA, there were 7 of us + 4 guides (suku sakat abg Zaini gak) went to kaki gunung Nuang for waterfalls! Yeay! We spent like 45 minutes wetting ourselves there, then backed down again. Didnt wanna be late as we got to check out at least by 3pm.

As we started to go down, we heard a loud BANG! I thot someone had hit his/her hunting animal so aku buat dek je la. And i was actually forgot that 1 of the guides had armed himself a rifle (senapang patah). We proceed our journey and Alhamdulillah managed to reach the rest house by 2 sumthing (kalau tak silap).

Hehe...here comes the major part of this whole entry. Guess wut actually happened when sumone triggered the loud sound?? We were almost attacked by a famous carnivore...T.I.G.E.R. Hhmmm...im not joking. Apparently, that thing was stalking us by very near. The person who holds the rifle (we all pangge dia Dat) was the most front as he needed to check our path safety & suddenly he heard sumthing walking which sounds like daun-daun bergeseran. That was when he thot “kalau benda ni belakang aku, and track ni plak berbatu, budak-budak ni sure tak sempatnyer” and without waiting another sec, he pulled the trigger. Abg combat too kinda realized that sumthing not right is about to happen. He actually smelt sumthing nasty. Tiger does smelt ‘hanyir’. In fact worst than a goat. Another guy, Terence also saw sumthing walking within the trees. He thot it was nothing & just kept himself quiet until we safely arrived to our base. According to Dat, the meat eater was almost 7-foot long. Gosh, feels like escaping from a death row...fuh! Our biggest gratitude to Allah taala for saving us. ALHAMDULILLAH.
